Rocco D’Angelo

Founder & President

Rocco A. D’Angelo founded D’Angelo & Associates, Inc. in 2001 and has over 30 years of public accounting experience. Over his career in public accounting, he has advised closely held businesses and their owners on a variety of tax, accounting, and finance issues.

Rocco specializes in tax planning and compliance for S-Corporations, Partnerships and LLCs as well as individuals. His experience in planning and compliance has helped Rocco become a knowledgeable advisor in all aspects of business. He routinely advises in business acquisitions, succession planning and business entity formation.

Additionally, Rocco helps clients in establishing and monitoring financial reporting systems. His unique real estate knowledge has allowed him to advise in various real estate related issues and investments.

Rocco is also very committed to the community in which he lives and works. Rocco has served on many nonprofit boards throughout his career. Currently Rocco serves on the board of directors for Living Stones and the Mt. Lebanon Basketball Association. Rocco has previously served on the board of Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Metro Pittsburgh Youth for Christ, and Pittsburgh Cares.

Rocco professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AIPCA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Rocco has also served as guest speaker to various groups.

Rocco resides in Mt. Lebanon with his wife Jessica and their two children. Rocco is also very involved in the local church. Rocco worships and serves at the Dormont Campus of Northway Christian Community.

Alexandra (Ali) Hartmann, CPA, is a highly experienced tax and business advisor specializing in tax preparation, tax planning, and strategic advisory services for closely held businesses and their individual owners. Since graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration degree in Accounting in 2009, she has built a successful career at D’Angelo & Associates, Inc., where she has been serving clients with integrity and personalized attention for over 15 years.

In 2014, Ali earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, further strengthening her ability to support clients through complex financial and regulatory challenges. She has developed extensive expertise in preparing multi-state tax returns for a wide variety of businesses, with a strong focus on industries such as restaurants, real estate, and professional services. Her deep understanding of both business operations and tax strategy allows her to deliver proactive, results-driven guidance tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Ali is a member in good standing with both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional development and the highest ethical standards in the accounting profession.

Operating from her home office, Ali offers the flexibility and accessibility that clients value, without compromising on professionalism or precision. Her approach is rooted in strong client relationships, practical solutions, and a commitment to long-term success.

Ali is a devoted wife and mother of two, residing in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Beyond her professional work, she travels the world with her family, gaining fresh perspectives and new inspiration. She also actively volunteers at her children’s school, supporting her local community with the same dedication she brings to her practice.

Joseph T. Beresford

Senior Accountant

Joe joined D’Angelo & Associates, Inc. in 2017 and has more than 17 years of combined experience in public accounting and industry.

Joe graduated from Indiana University of PA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 2007 and has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania since 2012.

He serves the tax and consulting needs of privately held companies and their owners. Focused on services for small to medium sized businesses, he is committed to delivering tax and financial services that meet each client’s unique objectives. His experience also includes performing audits and reviews to clients in various industries, including not-for-profit organizations.

Joe lives in Plum with his wife Jackie and their two children. He serves as the treasurer for the Plum Baseball and Softball Association.

Nicholas D. Zando

Staff Accountant

Nicholas D. Zando graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and has been working in public accounting for the past 5 years. Nick joined D’Angelo & Associates in 2022 and has been a vital contributor to our team ever since.

Over his career in public accounting, he has prepared a variety of tax returns and financial statements as well as working directly with clients to improve their accounting systems and procedures. He has also assisted various clients in payroll tax compliance, payroll tax returns, and not-for-profit and governmental audits. Nick is a current CPA candidate and is in the process of obtaining his Certified Public Accounting license.

Nick currently resides in Canonsburg with his wife Sydney, who also works in public accounting. Outside of work, Nick enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending quality time with his family and friends, as well as his dog, Enzo.

Accounting Paraprofessional

Jen joined D’Angelo & Associates in 2022.

As a paraprofessional, Jen specializes in client-facing services, including non-profit bookkeeping, QuickBooks setup and training, temporary bookkeeping and controller services, and in-house & on-site bookkeeping. She has over 20 years’ experience working in various capacities for accounting firms and small to mid-size companies.

Jen currently lives in Evans City with her husband, Dirk, and their dogs, Trigger and Shiloh. Outside of work, she enjoys, cooking, gardening, and hiking.

Amanda Hill

Administrative Assistant

Amanda Hill joined D’Angelo & Associates, Inc in October 2023 in the role of Administrative Assistant/back-office support.

As an administrative assistant, Amanda helps performs essential clerical and business support duties that aid D’Angelo’s daily operations.

Amanda currently resides in North Huntingdon with her husband Roy. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys off-roading on the weekends and spending time with her family.
